Sudan Archaeological Research Society Lecture

On the 19th of May 2014 I gave a keynote lecture to the Sudan Archaeological Research Society (SARS) meeting at the British Museum. The meeting included a range of papers on recent field research in Sudan, and I spoke on past and future archaeological research in South Sudan. Further details of this research can be found via my research page.

The event was very enjoyable and I think the audience appreciated hearing about something a little different from South Sudan – especially the mind-boggling tale of Stanley’s Emin Pasha relief expedition!
